What type of website do I need?

There are a number of different websites and your requirements will determine which one you need. For example, if you want to make changes to your websites content, then you should opt for a solution that includes a Content Management System (CMS). If you want to sell your products online (now or in the future), you should opt for an e-commerce solution.

Here at CODE4 Digital, we specialise in providing our customers with fully responsive WordPress websites that are built to meet your current requirements, but also be able to grow into the site that you want it to become.

Domain Names

This will be the address of your website (i.e. code4digital.co.uk) and would be purchased from a domain registrar. Prices vary but typically would cost you £10-£15 per year (unless it’s considered a premium domain by the registrar). We do purchase domains on behalf of our clients when asked to do so.

Web Hosting

You will need to make your website public and in order to do that, you will need to purchase web hosting that is suitable for the type of website that you choose. Our business web hosting costs £12 per month and is suitable for HTML and Content Management Systems (such as WordPress).

Website Maintenance & Support

The work required will depend on the type of website that you have. Typically you will need to update plugins, upgrade Content Management Systems, run backups and apply security patches. You will have an option to either pay for website maintenance & support on an ad hoc basis, or purchase a monthly service to move the responsibility to CODE4 Digital. Costs start at £140 per year.
